This space started as a whisper—an idea that lingered long after I tried to dismiss it. I couldn’t ignore the feeling that something was missing from the wellness world as I knew it. Not just for me, but for so many women I crossed paths with.

We didn’t need another space that made us feel like we had to be more, do more, or push harder. We needed a place to move with intention, connect with our bodies, and to feel truly seen. Ether Wellness was born from that need, a space designed for women to come home to themselves.

From Burnout to Beginning Again

Before entering the health and wellness world, I spent my post-college years bouncing between industries—from criminal justice (fun fact: I was once a private polygraph examiner!) to a pediatric therapy center, and then into the renewable energy sector, wearing every hat along the way.

I was exhausted. Stressed. Moody. I knew something had to change. In the fall of 2022, I gave my notice without a clear plan. But stepping away from the noise gave me space to finally ask: What do I truly love? What am I curious about? How do I want to help others?

At the time, I had just started a yoga practice and was fascinated by the poses, the philosophy, the mindset. That curiosity led me to a yoga teacher training, which quickly became the first step in a deeper journey.

I’ve always had a deep-rooted interest in health and wellness, shaped in part by my years playing sports growing up. So I leaned in, exploring personal training, nutrition coaching, and other specialty areas.

But it wasn’t until my yoga teacher training touched on how to support women during pregnancy and across the menstrual cycle that something clicked. Why weren’t other certifications talking about the specific, nuanced needs of women? That moment sparked my deep dive into women’s health, hormones, and movement—so I could coach the woman in front of me with care and understanding for her unique season of life.

Though I tried working at several gyms and studios around Madison, I quickly realized my vision extended far beyond traditional spaces.

I saw how often women were overwhelmed, burnt out, or constantly pushing through pain—physically and emotionally. The wellness world was full of noise, but not always full of nourishment. I didn’t just want to offer a workout—I wanted to create a space that supported the whole woman, especially women like you navigating the fullness of life.

What Makes Ether Different

So many wellness spaces focus on performance. At Ether, we focus on presence.

At Ether, we do things differently on purpose. Yes, we move—and we move with strength, with joy, with intention. But we also rest. We regulate. We check in with our bodies instead of ignoring them.

This is a space that supports:

  • Functional fitness, where you don’t have to “push through” to prove anything.
  • Hormone-Friendly movement and learning that meets you where you are.
  • A shift from external pressure to internal permission.

Whether you come in for strength training, a quiet yoga practice, or simply a change of scenery from your day-to-day grind, the energy here is meant to hold you—not rush you.

Ether is not a traditional gym. It’s not even a traditional wellness studio. It’s a third space—somewhere between work and home—where you get to just be.

Reconnection Is the Real Goal

So many women tell me they feel disconnected—from their bodies, their purpose, their energy. And I get it, I’ve been there. That’s why community is at the core of what we’re building here.

Whether it’s through a class, a quiet cup of tea in the lounge, or an event where meaningful conversations unfold, Ether invites you to slow down and reconnect—with yourself and with others.

You don’t need to be in a certain season of life, fitness level, or mindset to walk in. All you need is the willingness to show up.

Who This Is For

Ether was created especially for women who:

  • Are tired of hustle-based fitness culture
  • Want to feel empowered in their body, not at war with it
  • Are navigating transitions—menopause, postpartum, career shifts, or simply a desire for change
  • Crave calm, clarity, and connection in their wellness experience
  • Are curious about their bodies and want to better understand their unique functions and needs

If that’s you, welcome. You’re not alone, and you’re exactly where you need to be.

My hope is that Ether becomes more than just a studio. I hope it feels like a breath of fresh air. A grounding presence. A place where you’re reminded of your own strength—and your peace, too.

A Personal Invitation…

One of the most common responses I hear when I describe Ether Wellness is: “Oh… that is so needed.”

So many women carry quiet longings—desires, needs, dreams—but struggle to give themselves permission to honor them. They’re used to putting themselves last or waiting for the “right” time.

This is your reminder that it’s not just okay—it’s necessary—to take time for yourself. To invest in your well-being—not for anyone else, but for you. You already deserve it.

This is my invitation: to give yourself permission. Permission to rest, to reconnect, to return to yourself.

If you’re curious, I’d love to welcome you in. You can explore our studio memberships, drop in to shop our beautifully curated wellness products, or attend one of our community events. Or just start by reaching out and saying hi. That counts too.

Because in this space, you don’t have to prove yourself. You just have to show up.
