When I look back at an old journal entry titled “My Big Vision,” it still gives me chills. I wrote it months before Ether Wellness existed — before the furniture, the logo, the scent of essential oils that now fills the studio. (Keep reading and view the full journal entry at the bottom of this post.)

On that page, I wrote about peace, purpose, and helping people live happy, functional, healthy lives. I imagined a space that blended strength training, yoga, Pilates, and meditation. A place where women could move in alignment with their bodies and reconnect with themselves. A community rooted in collaboration and holistic care where movement professionals, coaches, and therapists worked together to create something bigger than themselves. I even went as far as describing the vibe and design of the space.

At the time, I didn’t realize it, but I wasn’t just writing goals — I was energetically sketching the blueprint for what would become Ether Wellness.

From Vision to Reality

Fast-forward to October 2024. I stood in an empty studio for the first time, holding the keys that would change everything. Signing that lease felt both exhilarating and terrifying. It was one of those moments where every “what if” crosses your mind but beneath the nerves was a calm certainty and excitement. This was the space I had envisioned months ago.

November became a month of transformation. I spent long days, countless trips up and down the stairs (and yes, what a workout it was carrying all the weights up!), moving furniture, unpacking boxes, and envisioning how women would eventually move, breathe, and connect here. There was something deeply sacred about those early days — creating with my own hands, shaping the energy of a space that felt alive before the doors even opened.

By December 2024, Ether Wellness quietly came to life with a soft opening — intentionally small, grounded, and aligned. No grand reveal, no massive advertising push, just an opening that reflected the energy of the brand itself: calm, connected, and intentional. (A special thank you to those who have showed up and supported me from day one, especially my business coaches and mentors.)

Looking back, that timeline might sound linear, but it wasn’t. There were moments of doubt, patience tested, financial calculations that made me take deep breaths, and constant reminders to trust my own pace.

That’s where manifestation met discipline.

Manifestation Reframed

I think we often misunderstand manifestation. It’s not just writing down what you want and waiting for it to magically appear. It’s a relationship between clarity, energy, and consistent action.

Manifestation begins with vision, but it’s sustained through discipline. It’s not just about imagining your dream life. It’s about showing up as the person who can hold it.

For me, manifestation looked like waking up early to do the “fun” business stuff, several walks back and forth with my red cart full of stuff (yes, in the brisk weather of November but hey—at least I was getting fresh air!), saying no to opportunities that didn’t align, and saying yes to things that scared me but felt right.

It looked like trusting that progress was happening even when I couldn’t see it.
It looked like holding the vision steady when doubt tried to take the wheel.

This was (and still is) one big learning process. Not only learning how to be a successful entrepreneur but also learning a lot about myself and how to create a business that aligns with me. The universe responds when you move with clarity and that clarity comes from understanding yourself, which is where Human Design entered the picture.

Understanding My Energy Through Human Design

Discovering my Human Design as a Projector 2/4 was one of the most transformative realizations in my journey and in my life. It was like being handed a permission slip to operate in the way I was actually built to — not how I thought I should operate.

As a Projector, I’m not designed for constant output or hustle. My magic lies in guidance, vision, and seeing others clearly. I thrive when I’m invited into the right spaces, rather than forcing doors open.

Once I began honoring that, everything shifted.

Instead of pushing for things to happen on my timeline, I began to trust divine timing and tuning into my body. I noticed that when I moved from inspiration rather than obligation, things flowed more naturally. The right people appeared. Conversations unfolded with ease. Opportunities aligned.

Understanding my design helped me see that discipline isn’t about rigidity — it’s about consistency that honors your energy.

That’s one of the reasons I decided to deepen my study of Human Design. I’m currently completing my certification as a Human Design Practitioner so I can weave this awareness into how I coach and support women. Because when you understand your energetic blueprint, discipline becomes a form of alignment, not resistance.

Motivation Fades. Discipline Grounds.

Motivation is easy to romanticize. That first spark of inspiration when you have a big idea or feel a burst of energy to start something new can be really exciting. But motivation is short-lived. It changes with our mood, hormones, energy levels, and life’s demands.

Discipline, on the other hand, is the quiet anchor that keeps you moving forward when motivation fades (especially when discipline aligns with your values). It’s the part that whispers, “Keep going — you’re building something that matters.”

During the creation of Ether Wellness, I had days when motivation felt nonexistent. Days when I was exhausted, overwhelmed, or questioning every decision. But discipline reminded me of my why.

That “why” was bigger than me. It was the women who would one day walk through those doors feeling tired, overextended, craving balance, entering into a space that reminded them to breathe, move, and reconnect.

Discipline doesn’t mean pushing harder; it means showing up gently, again and again, even when it’s inconvenient.
It’s the steady devotion that turns vision into reality.

The real magic is rooted in: Motivation gets you started. Discipline keeps you grounded. Alignment makes it sustainable.

The Alchemy of Alignment

There’s a misconception that manifestation is all “flow” and discipline is all “force,” but I’ve learned they’re deeply intertwined. When you’re in alignment with your energy and purpose, discipline feels like devotion, not duty.

For me, that meant honoring both the spiritual and the strategic sides of the process. Some mornings began with journaling, breathwork, and intention-setting. Others were filled with spreadsheets, emails, software set-ups and check-ins.

One anchored me in my vision. The other moved it forward. Both were essential.

Every small, tangible action became an act of alignment. Ether Wellness wasn’t created through hustle; it was created through intention.

That’s what I want other women to know:
You can build something deeply meaningful without burning yourself out. You can be both grounded and expansive, disciplined and soft, structured and intuitive.

That’s what aligned living looks like.

Lessons from the Journey

Reflecting on this chapter (the first year of Ether Wellness), here’s what I’ve learned — lessons I now carry into every season of business and life:

1. You don’t need to see the entire path to take the first step.

Clarity builds through movement. Even imperfect action teaches you what aligns and what doesn’t.

2. Rest is productive.

Especially for women (and especially for Projectors 2/4), rest is not optional. It’s how we integrate, recharge, and create sustainably.

3. Your energy is your most valuable resource.

Protect it, understand it, and use it intentionally. Not everything that looks like an opportunity is aligned.

4. Discipline without alignment leads to burnout. Manifestation without structure leads to frustration.

When the two meet, that’s when real progress happens.

5. Your “why” will always pull you through your “how.”

Whenever things felt uncertain, I came back to my why — to empower women to rebuild strength, restore balance, and reconnect with themselves.

These are my lessons — shaped by my energy, experiences, and the way I’m designed to move through the world. Yours may look different, and that’s exactly how it should be. Understanding your own Human Design can offer the clarity to create, rest, and grow in ways that truly work for you.

Coming Full Circle

Now, when I walk into the studio each morning, I see that journal entry come to life. The words I once wrote in hope are now embodied in movement, laughter, and quiet moments of connection that fill the space daily.

Ether Wellness has become more than a studio — it’s a living manifestation of what happens when purpose meets patience, and vision meets grounded action.

And maybe that’s the real message of all this: manifestation isn’t magic you wait for, it’s energy you become.

So, if you’re reading this with your own “big vision” — whether it’s a dream business, a creative project, or a personal transformation — remember this:

You don’t need to force it all into place. Start where you are. Move with intention. Trust your intuition.

The version of you who wrote the dream down?
She’s still here and she’ll be the one smiling when you finally step into it.
